Hi, I have just read a rule online that I am confused about. Picture this, player one has a court card (value 10) and three deuces. Player two has four court cards (each value 10). Player one plays his (10) card, tally 10, player two plays a (10) card, tally 20, player one plays a (2) tally 22, player two says go, player one plays his remaining three deuce cards. Now this is where I get confused, the aforementioned rules state that player one score 4 for the double, then 6 for the double royal, is that correct, or does he just 6 for the royal? ( plus the 1 for last card of course)

When pegging play is the turned up card used in scoring? It did not look like it, but wanted to check. Thanks!

Wow – this is a really complex game and I am so grateful for this tutorial. We had a beautiful Canadian cribbage set in our household when I was growing up. I have just ordered my own one and I shall be revisiting this tutorial many times to get to grips with it. Is it at all possible to play it solo? Or would you just have to play both hands? Cheers.

A very good refresher; I haven't played in about 20 years, and now I feel ready to go. For someone who's never played, however, this video would be confusing.

Best way to learn to play cribbage is to play the game with someone who knows how to play…🐵…

I appreciate the detail and I'm sure this is accurate, but this is one of the worst explanations of how to play something for someone who has no idea how to play.

Cribbage is a hard game to learn. Try this site for starters. You must read up on the point scoring system, but this site will give you hints and also allow you to practice counting your own points. Change the settings to make it easiest. http://cribbageclassic.com/

To complete newbies: you do NOT need a cribbage board. I, unfortunately, don't have one, as they are unavailable for purchase near me. Just mark tallies on a paper!

    Also, see the rules at:https://www.pagat.com/adders/crib6.html

You can read at your own pace, and the rules are very well structured.

My father and I shared few things when I was a kid. Playing cribbage was one. This video makes me happy. I can't help but hear his voice say, "Fifteen: two… And the rest won't do."
